After causing panic due to his last tweet, Gary Valenciano apologizes
GARY VALENCIANO – The singer took to the microblogging site, Twitter wherein he apologized after causing panic due to his last tweet about going through “challenges.”
Dubbed as “Mr. Pure Energy”, Gary V., whose real name is Edgardo Jose Santiago Valenciano, is a singer-songwriter, dancer, musician, actor, music producer, and TV personality. He started out as a choir singer and eventually began his career in show business on May 13, 1983.
It was in April 1984 when he hold his first solo concert at the Araneta Coliseum, which was followed by a number of albums. In the 1980s and 1990s, he was dubbed the “Michael Jackson of the Philippines,” and he still performs concerts all over the world.
Presently, he’s a contract artist of ABS-CBN and has been appearing on the Sunday noontime musical variety show ASAP and the weekday noontime singing contest segment of It’s Showtime.
Recently, he went to social media wherein he revealed that he’s going through challenges. In his post, he’s asking the Lord to touch him “miraculously.”
After his last tweet caused many to panic, he went to the microblogging site, Twitter, anew wherein he apologized. He thanked his fans for their concern and stressed that he’s getting much better now. According to him, all he right now is rest.
Meanwhile, the 58-year-old singer was previously diagnosed with Diabetes. He also battled cancer for a year before being declared cancer-free in 2019. A doctor had even predicted that he would only live until the age of 44, but he is grateful that the prediction was incorrect.
