BEN&BEN – The OPM band has released a statement after their homecoming concert 2022 received a massive backlash.

It was on Saturday, December 17 when the band hold a concert at SMDC Festival Grounds in Paranaque. More or less 65,000 people flocked their homecoming concert.

However, many were not impressed by how the concert was organized. Fans chastised the group, particularly the organizer, for their “inefficiency,” with some pointing out disorganization in the queueing. According to some, others waited for more than an hour just to get into the “overcrowded” venue.

A netizen noted in a Twitter post what was lacking in the said concert. According to him, there was no ticket scanning, no bag checks,no marshalls to maintain the lines and no segregation of quadrants.

After earning backlash from netizens, Ben&Ben released a statement. In their statement, apologized to those “who had a deeply stressful experience with the queuing, the entry into the venue, and the general gaps in the organization of the event.”

Meanwhile, Ben&Ben is a folk pop/pop rock band. Formerly known as The Benjamins, the group was formed in 2015. It has been known for their popular hits that include Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay, Kathang Isip, Araw-Araw, Leaves, Paninindigan Kita, The Ones We Once Loved, Pagtingin and to name a few.

The band is composed of Paolo Benjamin Guico on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Miguel Benjamin Guico on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Poch Barretto on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jam Villanueva on drums, Agnes Reoma on bass, Andrew de Pano on percussion and backing vocals, Toni Muñoz on percussion and lead vocals, Keifer Cabugao on violin and vocals and Patricia Lasaten on keyboard.
