Supreme Court announced the application period for new Bar Exam 2023 applicants
BAR EXAM 2023 – The Supreme Court recently announced the application period for new applicants.
The Supreme Court will start accepting applications for the next Bar exam as early as January 8, 2023.
2023 Bar Exam Chairperson Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando issued Bar Bulletin No. 2-2023 saying that the application period for new applicants will start from January 8 to April 30, 2023.
Meanwhile, the application period for previous Bar takers and refreshers is from May 1 to July 8, 2023. Refreshers will be taking the Bar examination for the 4th time or more.

Hernando also said that all applicants are required to submit the supporting documentary requirements through the online application platform — Bar Applicant Registration Information System and Tech Assistance or “BARISTA” — and through courier service from August 1, 2023 to October 24, 2023 or 30 calendar days from the last day of the Bar examinations.
“Failure to submit these required documents within the prescribed period will result in the disqualification of the applicant and the immediate stoppage of the checking of his or her examination answers,” the bulletin stated. “These periods and deadlines shall be strictly observed to enforce efficiency in administrative processes.”

The Bar bulletin also stated that the Bar examination fee is set at PHP 12,800, which was reasonably adjusted to cover the increased cost of software licensing, venue rentals for local testing centers, and safety measures because of inflation.
According to the Supreme Court, the Bar examination fee is non-refundable.
