Sara Vicenta Zimmerman Duterte-Carpio, the 15th and current Vice President of the Philippines, is a lawyer and politician. She is the country’s third female vice president, the third from Mindanao, and the youngest vice president in Philippine history.

Duterte ran for vice president in 2022 under Lakas-CMD, becoming Bongbong Marcos’ running mate under the UniTeam Alliance. Their ticket won by a landslide, making them the first running mate pair to win together since 2004 and the first to be elected by a majority since the Fifth Republic’s establishment in 1986. Duterte was inaugurated as vice president on June 30, 2022, in Davao City.

The daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte is also the Secretary of the Department of Education, a position he holds concurrently. She previously served as mayor of Davao City from 2016 to 2022 and from 2010 to 2013. She was also the vice mayor of Davao City from 2007 to 2010.

The Vice President and Education Secretary is making rounds on social media following an interview with the media. In the video, she is interviewed by members of the press, including ABS-CBN.

However, it seemed that she was “distracted” by the microphone of ABS-CBN. Watch the interview in the video provided below:

Previously, the vice president made rounds on social media following a video of her stopping her speech when the sunlight hit her in the face. It happened on Wednesday, November 16, during DepEd Tarlac’s 120th founding anniversary thanksgiving and awarding ceremony.
