Sara Duterte goes grocery shopping
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines was spotted buying groceries.
Sara Vicenta Zimmerman Duterte-Carpio, the 15th and current Vice President of the Philippines, is a lawyer and politician. She is the country’s third female vice president, the third from Mindanao, and the youngest vice president in Philippine history.
Duterte ran for vice president in 2022 under Lakas-CMD, becoming Bongbong Marcos’ running mate under the UniTeam Alliance. Their ticket won by a landslide, making them the first running mate pair to win together since 2004 and the first to be elected by a majority since the Fifth Republic’s establishment in 1986. Duterte was inaugurated as vice president on June 30, 2022, in Davao City.
The daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte is also the Secretary of the Department of Education, a position he holds concurrently. She previously served as mayor of Davao City from 2016 to 2022 and from 2010 to 2013. She was also the vice mayor of Davao City from 2007 to 2010.
Recently, she was spotted buying groceries. In a video shared by a netizen named JDennis J Awit, she can be seen buying groceries from a mall in Mandaluyong City last November 1. “Yong VP ka pero ikaw ang nag grocery,” the netizen said.

As of posting, her video while buying groceries has earned numerous views. It also elicited reactions from the netizens.
This only shows how simple the vice president is. Not only Sara is admired for being simple. Her father Rodrigo Duterte is also known for being simple. In fact, when he finished his term as president, he returned to his hometown, Davao.
