Senator Dela Rosa Says Impossible For PNP, NBI To Come Up With “Drawing Investigation” vs Bantag

Senator Dela Rosa: “They will stand by their investigation results hindi sila magpapa-impluwensiya sa kung sino sino man”

SENATOR DELA ROSA – The senator said that it’s impossible for the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to come up with a “drawing investigation” against suspended Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) director general Gerald Bantag.

In an interview on CNN Philippines on Tuesday, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa believed that it’s “very rare” or “very impossible” for investigative agencies to come up with a “drawing investigation” against Bantag.

With everyone closely following the investigation on Lapid’s slay case, the senator vouches for NBI and PNP that they will “stand by” their investigation results.

They will stand by their investigation results hindi sila magpapa-impluwensiya sa kung sino sino man dahil everybody’s watching, everybody’s following up this case,” the senator said.

The senator made the remark when he was asked about Bantag’s recent statements, calling on Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla to step down from office for allegedly bungling the probe on the killing of broadcaster Percy Lapid.

According to a report on GMA News, senior assistant state prosecutor Charlie Guhit told reporters in a message that a subpoena has been deemed served to Bantag in connection with the case of the killing of Percy Lapid.

Guhit also pointed out that the subpoena against Bantag is deemed served because PNP and NBI only provided Bantag’s address in Caloocan.

Per information received, the barangay captain told the process server that DG Bantag is not anymore staying in Caloocan after his appointment in BuCor,” Guhit said.
