Janine Gutierrez on Pilita Corrales: “She’s been the most generous person, even to this day agreeing to do stupid vlogs with me”
JANINE GUTIERREZ – The actress recently spoke about being the granddaughter of “Asia’s Queen of Song” Pilita Corrales.
As Pilita’s granddaughter, Janine considered her “mamita” as a living icon on-screen and off-screen. The actress shared how much she loves her grandmother in her social media post last November 7.
In the caption, she shared that she spent a good amount of her childhood in her grandmother’s walk-in closet trying on her pvc heels and hiding behind her gowns.
“When I got big enough to fit into her clothes, every time I would visit, she’d give me handfuls. Lahat naman daw bagay sa’kin,” she wrote. “I love her so much and feel so lucky to have her in my life.”
For her, her grandmother has been the “most generous person”, even to the day that she agreed to do vlogs with her.

Even in her previous social media posts, Janine has already shared some her bonding moments with Pilita and posting throwback photos from her grandmother’s career which has already spanned more than 6 decades.
Meanwhile, Janine released a vlog where she’s doing a closet raid with her grandmother.
After starring in the Kapamilya projects “Marry Me, Marry You” and “Sleep With Me” earlier this year, the actress is set to be part of the cast of the upcoming series “Dirty Linen” along with Francine Diaz, Zanjoe Marudo, and Seth Fedelin.
In her previous vlog, she shared that settling down was “not in the plans for this year”.
