Gretchen Ho Mourns Death of Father James Ho
GRETCHEN HO – The television host-reporter shared her last moments with her dad, James Ho, who recently passed away after a cardiac arrest.
When it comes to news reporting, one of the most popular personalities is TV reporter Gretchen Ho. She is also known as a former volleyball player of Ateneo Lady Eagles. She was part of the team from 2008 to 2013.
The family of Gretchen is visibly supportive of her volleyball career. Some netizens claimed that whenever she has a game, her father, James Ho, is watching at the audience area and he would even offer snacks to other watchers at the venue.

In a post on social media, Gretchen Ho shared her last moments with her late dad, James Ho. According to the TV reporter, she was in Sagada for work when she got the news update about what happened to her dad.
Gretchen shared that their family is waiting for an update from her doctor brother who proposed to his girlfriend in South Africa. Their family’s viber video call came 30 minutes earlier but it brought a different news – about their dad. It was 2 p.m. Manila time then and she finished her work early so they could head back home.
According to Gretchen Ho, while they were wrapping up, she saw a rainbow appeared and it seemingly assured her that everything was going to be okay despite what was going to happen in the next days. The TV reporter shared that her father had stroke in July and it is his second time in the hospital but, this time, it’s cardiac arrest.
In her post, Gretchen shared that James flatlined but was revived and he managed to stay alive until all of his children were already there. The mom and younger brother of the TV reporter were by his side the whole time. Their eldest sibling has just arrived from Indonesia and his doctor brother who got engaged went home the next day bringing the good news to their father.
“I will always be grateful for the chance that we got as a family to spend those last precious moments with my father together. I would not have forgiven myself had it gone otherwise,” she stated.
