Alleged abandoned son of Richard Yap files paternal suit against him
RICHARD YAP – The alleged abandoned son of the Kapuso actor filed a paternal suit against him.
Richard Yap is an actor-singer, model, and businessman of Chinese descent.
He is best known for portraying Richard “Sir Chief” Lim in Be Careful with My Heart and “Papa Chen” in My Binondo Girl.
After Be Careful with My Heart, Yap starred in Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita nd FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
On December 16, 2020, he signed his management contract with GMA Artist Center.
He also ventured into politics but failed.
Presently, he stars in the GMA primetime series “Abot Kamay na Pangarap” as Dr. Roberto Jose “RJ” Tanyag.
Meanwhile, it was just recently when Yap took to social media wherein he shared an update about the cyberlibel case he filed against former Cebu City Councilor Prisca Niña Mabatid.
This was after Mabatid accused Yap of allegedly using government funds for his congressional campaign, as well as allegations that he has an illegitimate son.
A day later, Mabatid shared a public document on social media that contains the paternal suit filed against the actor by his alleged abandoned son, Josh Jensen.
She stated that she hopes the DNA testing will go forward because she is concerned about the boy’s welfare.
Mabatid also wished the alleged abandoned son of Richard Yap good luck. On the other hand, she believes the “truth shall prevail.”
Yap has yet to issue any statement regarding the paternal suit filed against him by his alleged abandoned son.
