Some netizens believe that the “Lalaking Cinderella” is the mastermind behind the killing of Percy Lapid
LALAKING CINDERELLA – The last official criticized by veteran journalist Percy Lapid is being considered the “mastermind” behind his killing.
Percival Mabasa, also known as Percy Lapid, was shot dead on Monday evening, October 3, in Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas City.
Lapid was a columnist for Hataw and the host of the online broadcast program “Percy Lapid Fire” at DWBL 1242.
He was known for his furious commentaries on different happenings in the country, especially in politics.
Lapid was on his way to work for his online broadcast program “Lapid Fire” at DWBL 1242 when he was shot several times at the gate of BF Resort Village at around 8:30 p.m.
But some netizens claimed that an official tagged by the veteran journalist as “Lalaking Cinderella” might be the person behind the killing of Lapid.
It was on September 6 when the veteran journalist criticized an official under the Department of Justice (DOJ).
He referred to the official as “Lalaking Cinderella” because, according to him, the official was impoverished before being appointed to a position with the DOJ.
However, the official suddenly got rich and even owned several cars.
In his commentary, he showed the cars owned by the “Lalaking Cinderella” parked at an exclusive subdivision in Laguna.
Lapid stated that there were 11 cars, some of which could be considered luxury vehicles.
The said employee was appointed by former President Rodrigo Duterte whom Lapid called “Digongyo.”
Some netizens believe that the “Lalaking Cinderella” might be behind his killing.
Meanwhile, following the death of the so-called “middleman” in the Lapid killing, Bureau of Corrections Director Gerald Bantag has been placed on preventive suspension.
BuCor is under DOJ.
Bantag, on the other hand, has denied any involvement in what happened to the veteran journalist.
