Jerry Lauron, 51, a resident of Barangay Bacayan, allegedly suffered a heart attack and died on Sunday, October 2, just hours after being informed that he would no longer have a job starting Monday.

Jerry’s brother, Cambinocot Barangay Captain Reynald Lauron, claims that before the heart attack, the former discussed with his wife how they would educate the children if he lost his job.

The Cebu City Hall employee is said to be really problematic because he has seven children, two of whom are in college.

A coworker allegedly called or chatted with Jerry and informed him that his contract would not be renewed.

Meanwhile, also known as a heart attack, a myocardial infarction (MI) happens when blood flow in the coronary artery of the heart decreases or stops, causing damage to the heart muscle.

The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort that can spread to the shoulder, arm, back, neck, or jaw.

Shortness of breath, nausea, feeling faint, cold sweat or tiredness are some of the other symptoms.

It usually happens in the center or left side of the chest and lasts for a few minutes. The discomfort may occasionally feel like heartburn.
