Bersamin: “Ang totoo niyan kung mayroon talaga ay ibibigay kung mayroon but up to now wala pang lumilitaw na ganiyan,”
BERSAMIN — Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said on Tuesday that Atty. Victor Rodriguez is no longer part of the Marcos administration.
In an interview with reporters, the Executive Secretary denied the existence of Administrative Order No. 1 that supposedly designates his predecessor as Presidential Chief of Staff.
“Kapag mayroon talaga niyan, mayroon na rin kayong kopya pero wala kayong nakikita so it’s up to you to deduce kung nagtatago kami o hindi,” he told reporters. “Ang totoo niyan kung mayroon talaga ay ibibigay kung mayroon but up to now wala pang lumilitaw na ganiyan.”
He went on to urge reporters “not to belabor the issue”.

According to a report, the Office of the Press Secretary issued a statement last month saying that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had signed Administrative Order No. 1, but “thumbed down a draft special order which grants additional powers for his new chief of staff”.
It was last September when Atty. Victor Rodriguez resigned as executive secretary, saying that he wanted to give time for his family as his work “demands a sense of urgency which essentially requires almost all of a public servant’s time to ensure that services are met and delivered”.
Bersamin also confirmed that lawyer Jose Calida has resigned as the chairperson of the Commission on Audit (COA).
Meanwhile, Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Hubert Guevarra told reporters that lawyer Trixie Cruz-Angeles stepped down from her position as press secretary due to “medical conditions”.
Cruz-Angeles herself also announced that she has tendered her resignation because of her “health reasons”.
