More or less P200,000 worth of designer goods were stolen from his luggage including expensive shoes, bags, perfumes, and clothes.

Cotoco said that he took an Etihad Airways flight to get to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

When he arrived at the airport after picking up his baggage, he discovered that the locks were opened, with one of them nearly empty.

Catoco said that most of the stolen things were presents he had purchased for his relatives

The Pinoy TikToker said that he was traumatized by the incident because it was the first time that it happened to him in his 23 years of traveling.

He’s also worried about what if it happens to other Filipinos who are working hard to earn money and give presents to their loved ones.

Catoco added that he was unsure whether the expensive items had been taken in the Philippines or if they had been taken during his layover in Abu Dhabi or in Spain.

According to the report, the NAIA and Etihad Airways management had already been notified about the incident.

“We are aware of this case and the team is looking into it and investigating the matter,” Etihad Airways said.

On the other hand, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) issued an apology, citing the luggage of the victim was not broken into at the NAIA.
