MISSING – A student from Talisay, Batangas who was presumed to be missing for six (6) hours was found in the classroom next to his room.

Abduction cases are getting rampant in the country nowadays. One of the most popular is the case of a 15-year-old cyclist from Bulacan, Princess Marie Dumantay.

Earlier, the 15-year-old cyclist from Bulacan was reported missing.

Days later, the victim was found lifeless in a grassy area at the bypass road in Bustos, Bulacan.

It can be deduced that the victim suffered torture from the suspect after burns were found in the different parts of her body.

On Friday, August 19, the suspect in the killing of Dumantay was arrested in his home in Pamplona, Camarines Sur by the operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – CamSur.

The suspect identified as Gaspar Madredano Maneja Jr. or known as Jose Francisco Santos went hiding after committing the crime. Before heading to his home, he stayed in a forest somewhere.

The suspect faces multiple charges following the death of Princess Marie Dumantay, the 15-year-old cyclist. He was already turned over to the Bustos Police.

On Sunday, August 21, her body was laid to rest.

Meanwhile, a student from Talisay, Batangas was earlier presumed missing.

Authorities and people in the area decided to look for the student for six hours.

But after the search, everybody found out that the student was just in the classroom next to his.

Despite the hassle, authorities were thankful that the student was safe.
