BATO DELA ROSA – The senator said comedian Vice Ganda may help to promote Reserve Officers’ Training Corps or ROTC.
Some senators are determined to revive the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program as a mandatory subject for Filipino students.
Even the Department of Education headed by Vice President Sara Duterte and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) are backing the reinstatement of mandatory ROTC.
On the other hand, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said that mandatory ROTC will not only teach the youth to defend the country but also prepare them whenever there is a disaster. In other words, disaster preparedness.
According to Senator Bato dela Rosa, comedian and It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda may help promote ROTC.
In the “Walang Basagan” of Atty. Claire Castro, Jigo Postolero and Rey Pumaloy on Abante News Online, Sen. Bato mentioned the comedian’s movie wherein he enlisted himself in the army.
“Alam mo may pelikula si Vice Ganda… Praybeyt Benjamin puwede siyang tumulong mag-promote nitong ROTC program. Kung gugustuhin niya baka puwede siya. At saka malakas ang kanyang hatak, malakas ang hatak niya sa mga kabataan,” he said.
