SAMSUNG — The South Korean tech giant officially announced its new products during its Galaxy Unpacked August 2022 launch event.
Here’s what the company announced during the event:
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Watch 5 Series
- Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
Galaxy Z Flip 4
The company announced its new foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Flip 4.
According to Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, the company’s Galaxy foldables are built on the foundation of its openness philosophy. He also said that its fourth generation foldable devices offer “unparalleled mobile experiences” that meet the needs of its customers.
This foldable smartphone, according to the company, enhances users’ favorite features by making it the “ultimate tool for self-expression” as the smartphone’s compact clamshell design offers “unique experiences not available on any other smartphone”.
For its specifications, this smartphone has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 4nm octa-core processor, IPX8, 8GB internal memory, dual-rear camera setup, up to 512GB internal storage, and 10MP selfie camera.
Galaxy Z Fold 4
Aside from Galaxy Flip 4, the company also launched Galaxy Fold 4.
This smartphone, according to the company, is the result of its enduring smartphone innovation and its “most powerful smartphone yet” as it is the first smartphone to ship with Android 12L.
Android 12L is a special version of Android operating system created by Google for large-screen experiences — including foldable devices like Galaxy Fold 4.
For its specifications, this smartphone has 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display on its main screen, 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on its cover screen, triple-rear camera setup, 12GB internal memory, up to 1TB internal storage, and under display camera.
Galaxy Watch 5 Series
The company also introduced its fifth generation smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, during the said event.
These smartwatches, according to the company, shape health and wellness habits with its advanced features, intuitive insights, and even more powerful capabilities.
While the Galaxy 5 enhances the features that users rely on each day, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is the company’s “most durable and feature-packed watch yet”.
“We’re dedicated to giving our Galaxy Watch community the tools, data and resources needed to not only understand their overall health and wellness better but to coach them on their journey,” said Dr. TM Roh.
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
The company also revealed its new top-of-the-line earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
This product, according to the company, provides the “most immersive” wireless audio experience with its new, compact design and its seamless connectivity.
For its specification, this product has ANC and Ambient Sound, end-to-end 24bit HiFi audio, and IPX7.
