Ruffa’s showbiz career started in the year 1980s under BMG Films. In the early 1990s, she became part of German Moreno’s That’s Entertainment variety show

She then ventured into the world of pageantry. She has been crowned Binibining Pilipinas World 1993 and Second Runner-up to Miss World 1993.

Ruffa Gutierrez is the daughter of Eddie and talent manager Annabelle Rama.

Ruffa was one of the guest judges in the Diba Teh portion of Miss Q&A, a segment of the show.

The August 9 episode of the show became viral amid the “kulitan” of another guest judge Kaladkaren Davila and mainstay host, Jugs Jugueta.

After Kaladkaren introduced Ruffa, the former said: “Ang ganda niya daw ngayon nag-pink siya,” the actress-tv host laughed out loud and uttered: “gaga.”

The hosts of the said show including Vice Ganda were shocked.

The comedian tried to change the topic by saying Kaladkaren’s favorite singer is “Lady Gaga.”

Vice Ganda, on the other hand, apologized in behalf of Ruffa Gutierrez for what she said and urged the actress to say sorry as well.

“Masyado lang siyang happy. Mag-sorry ka na din Ruffa,” Vice said.

Ruffa immediately apologized and said that he did not know that it was forbidden to say the said word in the program.

Meanwhile, the video wherein she cursed had gone viral. According to dailybncnews.com, some netizens urged It’s Showtime to replace Ruffa Gutierrez.

“@itsShowtimeNa pakitanggal napo si ruffa nakakairita napo siya so much hindi snakakatuwa skskskssksksksksks,” said a netizen with handle name @breeeyannaluv.

“KUNG KANINO MANG IDEA NA GAWIN ULIT JUDGE SI RUFFA SA SHOWTIME, SANA ALAM MO NA WALANG NATUTUWA SA GINAWA MO HSHSJSKSLS @itsShowtimeNa,” @chikarahatake noted.
