Private Cemetery Earns Criticisms Online Due to Alleged Lack of Preparedness for Burial

A private cemetery in Davao City earned various reactions online due to the alleged lack of preparedness for burial.

A Facebook user named Doll Boniel Gonzales has shared photos of a private cemetery’s poor quality service and lackadaisical performance during her uncle’s burial. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.

Gonzales expressed her disappointment to the management of the private cemetery for the seemingly unprepared tomb of their 59-year-old deceased client. A huge rock and lumps of soil cause damage to the coffin.

According to Doll, she went to the private cemetery’s office to inform the management of availing of the lot they have paid a long time ago. The latter also paid another P30, 000 for excavation.

The family brought the deceased client into the cemetery after the requiem mass last Saturday, August 6, 2022. However, the cemetery crew apprehended them and told them that there was no scheduled burial on that day.

The cemetery office clarified that there is a scheduled burial on that day but it was not relayed to the crews manning the entrance. After a few minutes, the family was able to enter the cemetery but waited for almost two hours as gravediggers still dig a hole.

After a few moments, the family gets shocked after hearing a loud bang as rocks were dumped into the grave, which damaged the coffin. The family complained to the staff who also replaced the damaged coffin with a new one.

Gonzales expressed her disappointment to the cemetery’s staff for showing such behavior and being not prepared.
