HERLENE BUDOL — Here’s a reaction of the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 1st runner-up after seeing her family’s new home for the first time.
Known as “Hipon Girl”, the vlogger went emotional when she saw her family’s new home in Angono, Rizal for the first time as she brought her family with her to their new house and lot, as seen in her YouTube vlog. The new house and lot was gifted to them by her manager Wilbert Tolentino.
Like her, her grandfather turned speechless after seeing their new home and everyone else around them was trying to seize the moment. She even showed their new home to her grandmother’s photo.

But before that, the beauty queen expressed how much she wished her late grandmother was there to witness the huge milestone in their life.
“Gusto ko maranasan nila (grandparents) na tumira sa maayos pero hindi na naabutan ni Nanay. Wala na siya at ngayong araw na ‘to, bibilhin na ni Sir Wilbert ‘yung bahay,” Herlene said. “Napanaginipan ko si Nanay ngayon. Hindi siya nagsasalita. Nakangiti lang siya.“
She also revealed the reason why she joined the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant. To recall, she won several special awards and was named 1st runner-up at the said pageant held last July 31.
Herlene shared that she joined the pageant because her manager said he will give her a new house if she agrees to do so.
“Sino ba namang tanga na hindi papayag do’n? Praktikal na tayo. ‘Di naman kami mayaman,” she said.
