Update on Former Pres. Fidel Ramos Funeral Today at Libingan ng mga Bayani
FIDEL RAMOS FUNERAL – The remains of the late former President Ramos have arrived at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Former Philippine Pres. Fidel V. Ramos died last July 31 at the age of 94. His death which came as a shock to a lot of people as he’s known to be physically active amid his old age was confirmed by his family. The former President died of COVID-19.
Former Pres. Fidel Ramos’ funeral is held today at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Based on a report of ANC Digital, the remains of the former President have arrived at his final resting place and he will be given full military honors.

FIDEL V. RAMOS BURIAL – Here are some details about the funeral of the late former President Fidel V. Ramos.
Former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos or also commonly called “FVR” passed away last July 31. The Ramos family confirmed the passing of the former President who died at the age of 94 years old.
Ramos died of COVID-19. His remains were cremated and the family has opened his wake to the public but continuously reminds the people to observe the proper health protocols.
Prior to becoming the country’s Chief Executive in 1992, FVR has served several positions in the government. He was the chief of the Philippine Constabulary during the term of the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
Marcos and Ramos were second-degree cousins. The latter was the 2nd president after the People’s Power Revolution, the historical event that ousted the Marcoses from power.
The family of the former President sought privacy a day after he died but assured the public that they will release details about his wake and burial. They have opened his wake since yesterday until today for public viewing at The Heritage Park.
Former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos burial is set for tomorrow, August 9, 2022. He will be laid at Libingan ng mga Bayani. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, his ashes will be placed inside a coffin and he will be given full military honors.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is already rehearsing for the State Funeral Rites to be conducted on former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos burial. The ashes of the former President will leave The Heritage Park at 10:00 a.m. and will be given the Departure Honors.
The funeral march will start from The Heritage Park to the Heroes’ Cemetery where the Full Military Honors will be given. It is expected that the folded Philippine flag will be given to the Ramos family and the favorite songs of the former President will be played. More updates may be posted soon.
