Del Rosario was abducted by a group of identified men on board two vehicles last August 16 at a gasoline station in Batangas.

In a video that went viral online, he can be heard shouting “tulong” but none dared to help him.

During the press conference of Taal Mayor Pong Mercado and Police Major Dante Majadas on August 18, they found out that the victim, Eugene Beltran Del Rosario, was actually a member of Bukas Kotse Gang.

“Ito pong asawa at ina (ni Del Rosario) ay nagbigay ng pahayag kung ano ba ang aktibidades nung tao na ito at sinabi nila na isa itong miyembro ng ‘Bukas Kotse Gang’ na nambibiktima dito sa ating probinsya at sa ating mga karatig bayan,” Majadas said.

The group is known for their modus of opening the vehicles of their victim stuck in the middle of traffic, taking the targets valuables and money.

One of the most popular victims of the Bukas Kotse Gang is actor Gerald Anderon who lost more than 1 million pesos from the said group.

Meanwhile, the family of Del Rosario mourns the passing of Eugene who was found lifeless in Quezon Province, a few days after he went missing.

The authorities are still investigating the incident in order to identify who’s the mastermind behind the abduction and killing of the victim.
