Doctor Ethel Pineda vs Erwin Tulfo
ETHEL PINEDA – The doctor who criticized Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin Tulfo has been accused of being “DDS and Dilawan.”
Tulfo, the secretary of DSWD, is making a buzz since last week following his controversial remark against teachers.
On August 24, Sec. Erwin Tulfo said that he has no intention to rely upon teachers for the distribution of educational assistance because, for him, they may favor their relatives.
DSWD has rolled out giving financial assistance to needy students or “students-in-crisis.”
Accordingly, each student may receive P1,000 for those in elementary, P2,000 for those in high school, P3,000 for those in senior high school, and P4,000 for those in college/vocational school.
His statement generated mixed reactions from the netizens and among those who reacted is Dr. Ethel Pineda.
Pineda went to Facebook wherein he expressed her disappointment.
“Really, Mr. Secretary? You are accusing teachers of misdeeds? Ang husay mo mag-accuse agad. Nilibak mo pa. “Nakatira lang” saan? Social Welfare Secretary ka, ang tapang mong mang-alipusta ng pagkatao ng mga guro. Unacceptable behavior. Shame on you,” she wrote.
But in one of her latest posts, Dr. Ethel Pineda shared that after criticizing Tulfo, people accused her of being DDS and Dilawan.
DDS means diehard Duterte supporter or avid supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte while Dilawan, are supporters of the Aquinos.
