The veteran singer-actress took to social media earlier today, August 8, wherein she shared about the unfortunate incident.

On Instagram, Jaya posted a photo of their house ravaged by fire.

It appears that the fire almost ruined their 2-story house.

According to Jaya, what happened to their house was devastating but the good thing is, that none was hurt in the fire incident.

Fortunately, the second floor of their house was not totally burned down by the fire.

“God is so good! Our house just burned to the ground but we are all safe! I have no words but GOD IS GOOD!” wrote the award-winning singer in the caption of her post.

Her post has gone viral, garnering reactions from the netizens and celebrities.

Among those who expressed their concern for the singer who is now based in the US were Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, Original Concert Queen Pops Fernandez, Pokwang, Janice de Belen, Heart Evangelista and to name a few.

“Oh my gosh Iyay!!! Oh dear God…I am so so sorry but praise God you are all safe,” Sharon said.

Zsa Zsa, on the other hand, noted: “Thank God your family is safe. Will be praying for you, Iyay.”

Jaya and her family are currently living in the US after they decided to leave the Philippines amid the pandemic.
