A woman in Bacolod City was allegedly abducted by men riding a motorcycle
BACOLOD – A 23-year-old woman was allegedly abducted in the said city but fortunately was able to escape.
Abduction cases are getting rampant in the country nowadays.
One of the most popular is the case of Jovelyn Galleno.
Galleno is a graduating student taking a Bachelor of Science in Criminology, who entered a mall in Palawan but went missing.
Then, reports surfaced that she might have been abducted as per the multicab captured on camera which she boarded.
Amid the alarming surge of abduction cases in the country, a 23-year-old woman in Bacolod City was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified men riding a motorcycle.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) is now conducting an investigation into the incident.
In a radio interview, the victim said that she was on board a public utility vehicle (PUV) on Thursday, August 18, when the suspects grabbed her and forced her to board another motorcycle driven by an unidentified man.
Allegedly, the victim was maltreated and molested by the suspects in one of the subdivisions in the said city.
Fortunately, she was able to escape from the hands of the kidnappers.
The victim said that she managed to escape through the window after seeing the suspects sleeping at around 2 am, Friday.
Based on the report of Digicast Negros, she walked towards the downtown area until a concerned citizen helped her and brought her to their house in Silay City.
The victim’s name was withheld for her protection. She will undergo a medical examination.
