It was in November 2021 when Andrew’s wife Jorhomy “Jho” Rovero was rushed to St. Luke’s BGC due to cardiac arrest and hypoxemia.

After staying in the hospital for a couple of months, their medical bill surged.

Eventually, netizens extended their help to Andrew via GCash.

But many have gone mad at the actor after they misinterpreted a report of Abante dated August 27, 2022.

The original headline of the tabloid was: “P6M utang sa ospital: Coco umayuda kay Andrew.”

Many thought that Andrew has already settled the hospital bill of his wife through Coco Martin.

It appears that some details in the said article were not clear and the netizens misinterpreted it or did not fully read the report.

As of press time, the said headline of the tabloid has been changed.

Andrew was affected by the criticism thrown at him by netizens. Some thought that they were being scammed by the actor himself.

Through social media, Andrew clarified the information surfacing about the hospital bill for his wife.

According to him, Coco Martin did not pay the P6M hospital bill for his wife. On the other hand, he shared that the Ang Probinsyano star has extended his help way back last year in November.

Meanwhile, according to Ogie Diaz, Andrew Schimmer has already made a down payment at the hospital worth half a million pesos and also made a post-dated check for his maintaining balance.

Ogie stressed that Andrew still needs a large amount of money for their remaining balance in St. Luke’s BGC.
