MARK REYES – The director of Voltes V: Legacy, the Philippine adaptation of the Japanese anime television series has given an update.

Voltes V is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise.

It is the second installment of the Robot Romance Trilogy, which also includes Chōdenji Robo Combattler V and Tōshō Daimos.

Despite moderate success in Japan, the series was extremely popular in the Philippines, Cuba and Indonesia.

It was on January 14 when the Kapuso Network released a second teaser for the Philippine adaptation of the hit anime.

It earned mixed reactions from the netizens particularly on YouTube.

Some netizens described the latest trailer of the upcoming series as epic and breathtaking while others are skeptical.

Voltes V: Legacy stars Ysabel Ortega as Jamie, Raphael Landicho as Little Jon, Matt Lozano as Big Bert, Radson Flores as Mark, and Miguel Tanfelix as Steve.

Mark Reyes, the director of the Philippine adaptation of Voltes V, has given an update about the awaited live-action series.

According to him, the series will air in 2023.

“Malapit na nating makita ang ‘Voltes V’ by next year. It will be in 2023,” the director said.

According to the director, Voltes V: Legacy had two years of preparation. This includes the improvisation of the set as well as enhancing the entire action series brought by the limitations and challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The level of expectation is really scary for us,” he added.
