Did You Know Celeste Cortesi Worked As A Cashier?
CELESTE CORTESI – Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi revealed she previously worked as a cashier.
Filipina-Italian model and beauty queen Celeste Cortesi was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022 on April 30, 2022. The coronation night was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay Metro Manila.
The pageant is arguable the most star-studded coronation night the country ever had. It was hosted by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, along with her fellow Miss Universe titleholders Demi-Leigh Tebow of South Africa and Iris Mittenaere of France.
Celeste Cortesi will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022. Before she won the competition, she represented the country at Miss Earth 2018. She entered the Top 8.
After MUPH 2022, Miss Universe 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez dedicated a heartfelt message to Celeste. She told her successor that she is already proud of her and expressed her confidence that she will perform her MUPH duties greatly.

In her YouTube vlog on July 15, 2022, Celeste Cortesi mentioned that she used to work as a cashier, but she did not say whether it was in the Philippines or in Italy. Celeste’s story about this part of her life started when some fans asked about her college degree.
The 24-year-old beauty queen said she stopped studying because she didn’t know what course to take. “Why would I go to college if I don’t know what I wanna be when I’m an adult?”
She said also had to work immediately to help support his mother, who is a Filipina. “So I really had to find a job. So that time, I was doing modelling, and I also worked as a cashier in a shop,” said Celeste.
Included in the vlog is Voltaire Tayag, the director of communications of MUPH, who commented, “You were just so open with it, and you were like, ‘That’s where I worked before.'”
Celeste said, “It was just downstairs, actually, where we lived and it was the shop where I worked as a cashier.”
But Celeste admitted that she used to be ashamed to say that she worked as a cashier She said, “You know, actually, there was a time where I was kinda embarrassed. I didn’t really want to show that side of me to others.”
Her perspective changed after she became the titleholder. She said that she should be honest to be a good example to others.
On the other hand, Celeste Cortesi is now pursuing a real state license. “I’m doing real-estate course to get my real estate license. It’s like so perfect because, again, I will never do something if I’m not very passionate about it,” she said.
