Guanzon served as commissioner of Comelec from 2015 to 2022 under former President Benigno Aquino III and President Rodrigo Duterte.

She also served as Mayor of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, and as Commission on Audit (COA) commissioner.

She also served as chief of staff to late Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, whom she still considers a role model.

Recently, she went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she posted a video of herself harvesting some fish.

Her post was then flooded with comments.

One of the netizens who caught her attention is a netizen who called her “BUANGZON”.

“Itulak nyo yang BUANGZON na yan,” said a certain Alex Abad.

She later found out that the netizen who criticized her is actually a teacher.

In the comment section, netizens urge the P3PWD Party List representative to teach him a lesson.

After some time, Alex Abad took to social media wherein she issued a public apology after being bashed for criticizing the politician.

On Facebook, Guanzon shared the apology of Mr. Abad.

In his apology, Abad claimed that he idolizes the politician and admires her bravery.

Guanzon accepted the apology of the teacher because “madali naman tayo kausap.”

She also reminded the teacher to act with kindness.

In the comment section, she wrote: “alam ko naman na drama lang, pero kebs na.”

A netizen noted: “Akala mo atapang, atakbo pala. Should be reported still sa school nya.”

  1. Public apology in writing is not a real apology. It must be recorded live. Show your face to show if you are really sincere. Anybody can type a sorry letter but still laughing and cursing…

  2. Respect should be for all. We need to stop degrading words just to be known. Teachers should always be a ROLE MODEL to new generation. Remember what you saw is what you reap.
