Beauty queen-turned-actress Rabiya Mateo speaks about her estranged father
RABIYA MATEO – The beauty queen-turned-actress gave a message about her estranged father.
Rabiya rose to fame when she won Miss Universe Philippines 2020. However, during her stint at MU 2020, she failed to covet the title against Andrea Meza of Mexico.
After her Miss Universe journey, she ventured into show business. She starred in the series, Agimat ng Agila.
She also stars in the sequel of First Yaya titled First Lady.
Rabiya Mateo was born out of a domestic partnership between her Indian American father and her Filipina mother who later on separated. According to her, she grew up in a poor family.
Recently, she appeared in the “Updated with Nelson Canlas.”
In the said interview, she became open about what she really feels for her estranged father.

According to her, she does not hold a grudge against her father despite the fact that leaving them was very painful.
In fact, she does not need an explanation from her Indian-American father as to why he left them, because she loves her dad so much.
“Overall, wala akong bitterness sa heart ko towards him kasi I know kahit masakit iniwan niya kami, may rason siya. At actually, hindi ko na nga kailangan marinig yung rason na ‘yon,” she said.
According to Rabiya, all she ever wanted is to know how was her father now or does he really need her as a daughter.
Her father as yet to resurface and speak up on the matter.
