Rabiya was just five years old when her Indian father left for the United States. She has a brother, “MokMok”. Recently, speaking to Tim Yap, the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 spoke about her biological father.

According to Rabiya Mateo, she thinks that her Indian father really planned to “abandon” them. The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 said that her two uncles on the father side were still her in the Philippines when her father left for U.S.

Rabiya said that the two brothers of her father were studying here in PH. On the live interview with the celebrity eventologist, the beauty queen said that her mother went to the school where his father’s brothers were studying but they were not there anymore. They also left for U.S.

“I think it was his plan to abandon us, ’cause what happened was when he went back to the U.S., his two brothers are still here studying,” she said.

Despite it, Rabiya is not holding any hatred towards her biological father, Syed Mohammed Abdullah Moqueet Hashmi. An Indian community has reached out to her to help her find her biological father.
