CCTV destroyed by a drunk man
QUEZON – A 19-year-old man from the said city was arrested after being caught in the act of destroying a CCTV.
CCTV stands for closed-circuit television and is commonly known as video surveillance.
They are commonly used to detect and deter criminal activities and record traffic infractions.
There are CCTVs present almost anywhere in the country.
They are a big help to villages looking after their security and safety.
But a drunk man destroyed a CCTV which led to his arrest.
The incident happened early Monday morning at Kaliraya St. in Brgy. Tatalon.
The suspect and his friends were having a drinking session when the suspect stood and went to the CCTV camera.
All of a sudden, the footage started shaking. This, after the suspect, tried to destroy it.
The suspect was caught in the act of destroying the CCTV.
According to the authorities, the footage was the key to the immediate arrest of the suspect.
The suspect admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol and was urged by his friends as to why he destroyed it.
The suspect regrets what he did and said he should just go home after the drinking session.
The employees of the said barangay, on the other hand, will change the location of the CCTVs due to the incident.
The authorities advise drinkers to put the alcohol in their stomachs not in their heads to avoid any problems.
The suspect will face malicious mischief.
