A basher mistaken former Senator Bam Aquino for a K-pop star
BAM AQUINO – The former senator was mistaken for K-pop star BamBam of GOT7.
Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aguirre Aquino IV is a politician and social entrepreneur who served as a Senator of the Philippines from 2013 to 2019.
He is a member of the Aquino family, of the prominent clans in the Philippines.
He’s the cousin of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and late President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.
Before becoming a senator, he ventured into showbiz.
He was one of the hosts of the TV show Breakfast, a youth-oriented morning talk show at Studio 23. In 2006, Aquino hosted the youth-oriented debate show Y Speak in Studio 23.
On the other hand, BamBam is a Thai rapper and singer based in South Korea, and a member of the boy band Got7, which consist of seven members: Jay B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Yugyeom, and BamBam.
The group is behind the songs; Just Right, NANANA, If You Do, Never Ever, Hard Carry, Lullaby and to name a few.
Recently, BamBam went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein he posted: “Manila!! I’m on my way!! so much traffic.”
A netizen commented on his post assuming that it was former Senator Bam Aquino, who posted about the traffic.
The netizen said: “tagal mong nanilbihan sa gobyerno dmo alam??? walastik ahhh….”
Some netizens were quick to take a screenshot of the basher’s comment and shared it on Twitter.
Bam Aquino, on the other hand, rides on the social media gaffe.
As of press time, his post has already earned more than 8k reactions.
