Motorcycle Rider Shoots Traffic Enforcers During Apprehension in Cardona, Rizal
Two traffic enforcers have died and one got injured after shot by a motorcycle during apprehension in Cardona, Rizal.
According to the Cardona PNP, the traffic enforcers were mandating the traffic during that time Manila East Road when the incident happened around 3:30 am on Thursday (July 14, 2022).
The road officers apprehended a motorcycle rider who counterflows in a one-way road. Unfortunately, the back rider pulled out a gun and shoot the three traffic personnel. Two of them died while the other one is injured.
The enforcers have been identified as Angelito Tancinco, team leader Marcel Julian and Jerome Kevin Cruz who is currently recuperating at the hospital after suffering gunshot wounds in his legs.
“Initial investigation around 3:36 pm nangyari. Pinagbabaril sila may mga nakuha sa crime scene nasa soco na mga fired cartridge. On duty po sila. Naninita sila kasi one way yung daanan, nainis yung motorist bumaba si back riderm binaril itong tatlo,” CardonaPNP PSSG Bong Tamares said.
The victim’s co-worker identified as Arnold Guevarra said that the victims have no enemy and described his colleagues as good and kind people. He was also shocked after learning the sad news.
However, the CCTV footage in the area could not clearly show the suspect’s plate number. The authorities are also trying to find other CCTV footage near the area to locate and identify the culprit.
