Jose Marie Borja Viceral also known as Vice Gand, is a comedian, talk show host, television presenter, actor, entrepreneur, and singer.

He is a regular host on ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It’s Showtime and has starred in several films, eight of which are considered to be the highest-grossing in Philippine cinema.

Vice started out as a singer, then as a comedian for Punchline and The Library, whose owner Andrew de Real gave him the stage name “Vice Ganda”.

During the May 31 episode of It’s Showtime, the comedian shocked the viewers when he sang Andrew E’s famous political jingle, “Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Mukha”.

At the time, Vice Ganda along with Kim Chiu and Vhong Navarrro were talking to one of the contestants of “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

Because of the contestant’s jacket, they playfully sang and danced to the beat of Florida’s hit single, Low.

“And the whole club was looking at her. She hit the floor. Next thing you know. Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low,” sang the three hosts while dancing.

Suddenly, Vice Ganda inserted some parts of Andrew E’s “Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Mukha”, the jingle of president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice president-elect Sara Duterte.

“Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Mukha”, said Vice.

Kim, who’s obviously surprised, said: “dun lang tayo sa apple bottom jeans.”

Vice then told Kim: “Uy sikat na sikat ‘yun, viral ‘yung kantang yun.”

Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu are staunch supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.
