In a speech, Diego Loyzaga declared that he’s a Marcos loyalist
DIEGO LOYZAGA – The actor called himself a Marcos loyalist.
Diego is an actor, model, and video jockey. He is the son of actors Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga.
His showbiz career started at the age of 15 after he signed a contract with ABS-CBN.
One of his first acting projects is via Mara Clara wherein he reprised the role of Derrick Gonzales originally played by Rico Yan.
He will star in a movie featuring the life of late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. titled Maid in Malacañang.
It is about the last three days of the Marcos family’s stay at Malacañang Palace during the People Power EDSA Revolution from February 23 to February 25, 1986.
The peaceful EDSA Revolution overthrew the dictatorship of Marcos Sr. after 20 years in office.
Maid in Malacañang also stars with Cesar Montano, Ruffa Gutierrez as First Lady Imelda Marcos and Ella Cruz as Irene Marcos as well as Karla Estrada, Beverly Salviejo, and Elizabeth Oropesa as house maids.
Karla, Beverly, at Elizabeth are staunch supporters of the Marcos family.
While the movie has yet to roll, Diego doesn’t want to discuss anything about it but during the Philippine Independence Day celebration last June 12, he said he’s thankful for giving him an opportunity to play the role of BBM.
He even called himself a Marcos loyalist: “Tawagin niyo rin po ako na loyalist po.”
The Maid In Malacañang is the first project of Darryl Yap in 2022, since his hiatus in moviemaking after focusing on election.
