Car Mechanic in Nueva Vizcaya Meets Unexpected Accident while Repairing Vehicle
CAR MECHANIC – A 40-year-old mechanic of vehicles was dragged by the van he was repairing in Nueva Vizcaya.
Truth be told that in the Philippines, most drivers really prefer to have their cars repaired by their trusted mechanics even if the fixing will not be in a shop. Most of the time, this is due to the excellent skills that the mechanic has shown making him earn the trust of car owners.
There are several Filipino car mechanics who are not working in giant shops by car companies or car-servicing businesses but instead they have backyard shops. Some of them repair the vehicles of their clients while on the side of the road.
However, in Nueva Vizcaya, a car mechanic got into an accident while working under the vehicle that he is repairing. The accident took place in Barangay Binugawan, Kasibu.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the 40-year-old car mechanic was working under the van he is repairing when another vehicle hit the van. It was an Asian Utility Vehicle (AUV) that hit the van.
According to Kasibu Police Senior Master Sergeant Prudencio Domingo who is the chief investigator of the incident, the impact was strong causing the mechanic to get caught under the van. He was dragged by the vehicle taking three (3) meters from the initial point.
Based on the report, the investigation showed that the driver of the AUV fell asleep so he hit the van that was parked on the side of the road. The mechanic was rushed to the hospital but he was declared dead on arrival. He incurred several wounds from the accident.
The driver of the AUV is safe. Charges were filed against him over the incident that took the life of a 40-year-old mechanic.
