Working Mom Who Borrows Money to Pay LET Application Fee Lands at Top 6

LET TOPNOCTHER – A working mom who loaned to pay LET application fee landed top 6 at the board examinations for teachers.

A woman named Melissa Marvic held a double celebration last April 29, 2022, after she gave birth to her third baby and passed the March 2022 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers Secondary Level.

Melissa did not only pass the licensure exams but also landed at the sixth spot after she acquired a rating of 91 percent. Her friend Archie told her the good news while recuperating at the hospital.

“‘Ate, nakita mo na ba yung result? Hindi ka lang pumasa, Top 6 ka! Top 6!,” Archie told Marvic.

Marvic underwent a caesarian operation while giving birth to her third baby. The LET topnotcher is a product of Fullbright College in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

The woman is already working as an English subject teacher for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for Grade 11 students in Metro Manila College when she took the LET exams.

Melissa reviews her notes while performing her duty at the school and doing her job as a mom to her children. She is also experiencing stress before taking the board exams and giving birth to her child.

“Before the exams, nagtuturo pa ako niyan noong Biyernes. ‘Tapos noong Sabado, nagdi-disseminate pa ako ng grading sheet. Nahiya lang akong magpaalam sa coordinator kasi alam kong sa susunod na linggo manganganak na ako, ‘tapos magli-leave na naman at maiiwan ko na naman ang trabaho ko.” Marvic said.

The newly-license teacher is also happy because of her supportive husband. She also revealed that she borrowed P900 to pay the application fee. “Yung best friend ko pa ang nagbigay dahil sagad-sagad yung pera ko that time.” Melissa said.
