SSS President and CEO Michael Regino said in a statement that among the new security measures being implemented in the My.SSS portal are the stricter guidelines when enrolling a disbursement account in DAEM (Disbursement Account Enrollment Module).

DAEM requires members to upload a valid government-issued identification card or document, a proof of disbursement account, and a chest-level selfie/photo holding the uploaded proof of disbursement account and document/ID card.

Additional internal procedures, according to Regino, are also in place in order to further improve the evaluation and approval process of disbursement accounts.

Contribution Hike

Regino said that they are continuously monitoring their systems to make necessary improvements to protect the accounts of their stakeholders and to ensure that benefit and loan proceeds are disbursed to the rightful recipients.

Within this month, the Online Member Data Change Request – Updating of Contact Information will also be resumed through the My.SSS Portal with enhanced security features,” Regino said.

According to Regino, they encouraged their stakeholders to refrain from sharing their login credentials and to regularly change their passwords so that their accounts will not be compromised.

SSS members, employers, and pensioners are advised to report to the nearest branch or send an email to SSS’ Special Investigation Department at [email protected] or call (02) 8924-7370 should they encounter any unauthorized transaction in their My.SSS account or online fraud activity.

Regino also said that the state-run pension fund is prepared to file the necessary charges against individuals who defraud its members.
