After being rejected in the first store he went to, a senior citizen bought a car at a nearby dealership in cash
DON’T JUDGE – A senior citizen who was barred from entering a car showroom because of his outward appearance bought one for himself from a nearby dealership, in cash.
Lolo Manuel continues to inspire many with his down-to-earth story.
A certain Love Dorego recently went to social media wherein she shared the story of a Lolo Manuel.
According to her, Lolo Manuel, a retired professor at the University of Southern Philippines went to a car dealership to buy a brand new car but was not allowed to enter because of his outward appearance.
“He said he wasn’t allowed to get in. Maybe because of his outward appearance, wearing very old and stained clothes, dilapidated and holed shoes, and a dirty mask,” Dorego said.
Then, he decided to go to a nearby dealership, where Dorego works, telling them that he was going to buy a brand new car.
The poor-looking old man was catered to by their dealership.
After presenting their displayed cars, he decided to purchase a S-presso.
Lolo Manuel told them that he was going to pay in cash but will return the next day because he did not bring the money with him.
Eventually, he came back to the said dealership and paid for the car in cash.
The car was released the following day but it was driven by an employee since he’s still relearning how to drive.
Dorego stressed that they cater to people coming from all walks of life whether well-groomed or not.
She also shared that the lesson she learned from the old man is to never underestimate anyone and to treat every person equally.
