Sylvia celebrated her 51st birthday on Thursday, May 19. To mark her special day, her daughter shared a photo of the two of them together on her Instagram account along with a message for her mother.

In the caption, she thanked her mother for always bringing out the best in them and for seeing the best in them even when they didn’t see it themselves and even though they drive her crazy sometimes.

According to her, she will forever be grateful to have her as her mother.

Thank you for always bringing out the best in us and for seeing the best in us even when we don’t see it ourselves and even though we drive you crazy sometimes,” Ria said. “Will forever be grateful to have you as my mom. Happy birthday @sylviasanchez_a. love you so much.

Ria is Sylvia’s eldest daughter. The two recently co-starred in the iWantTFC mini-series “Misis Piggy”, which marked their first acting project together.

Aside from Ria, the veteran actress has a son who is also part of showbiz — award-winning actor Arjo Atayde, who won the congressional race for the first district of Quezon City.

The mother-and-daughter duo recently shared an emotional moment in their recent guesting on “Magandang Buhay” as they discussed Ria’s plan to move out of their family home soon.

Actually hindi ako takot na umalis si Ria sa bahay. Kasi kailangan ko ring maging independent na, na wala na si Ria. Kasi buong buhay ko naka-angkla ako sa kanya, dependent ako sa kanya, siya ang umaayos for me. So kailangan ko ring matuto roon,” Sylvia said.

Ria, for her part, admitted that she feels excited but also scared about this new chapter in her life.
