After 98% of the votes has been canvassed, the camp of Marcos Jr. declared victory over the Elections 2022. Meanwhile, his camp maintains that they are still in the process of screening the possible appointees for his cabinet.

Atty. Vic Rodriguez, the spokesperson of presumptive president Bongbong Marcos, confirmed the possibility of appointing losing candidates in the 2022 Elections. However, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, under the law, losing candidates can only be appointed a year after the elections.

Rodriguez revealed that they are looking at some “possible personalities” among the candidates but stressed his belief that most of them would surely like to enjoy their much needed vacation for a year.

Furthermore, the spokesperson of presumptive president Bongbong Marcos explained that it is not good to drop names without having talked to the possible appointees. He stressed that their camp has always been respectful of the preference and choice of the people. According to him, after May 9, Marcos Jr.’s camp no longer talks about political colors.
