President-Elect Bongbong Marcos Hands Proclamation Copy to Mom Imelda
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President-Elect told his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, that all his efforts to win the presidency are for her and his late dad.
Former Senator Marcos Jr. was proclaimed as the elected president who will be serving as the 17th Chief Executive of the Republic of the Philippines starting noontime of June 30. The proclamation was held at the House of Representatives.
The joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives proclaimed president-elect Marcos Jr. who garnered more than 31 million votes in the Elections 2022. He led the presidential race with more than 16-million from his closest rival.
The family of President-elect Bongbong Marcos was present during the proclamation of his victory in the Elections 2022 at the House of Representatives. His 92-year-old mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, was also present.
Marcos Jr. was even surprised when his mother was able to climb up the rostrum and join them when he was proclaimed by the Senate President and the Speaker of the House. He tagged it as “adrenaline” that brought his mother there.
Marcos Jr.’s wife, Atty. Louise “Lisa” Araneta-Marcos and their son, Simon Joseph Marcos, were also present. His sisters were also present at the proclamation.
In his recent vlog posted on his YouTube account, president-elect Bongbong Marcos shared some happenings at the House of Representatives during his proclamation as the elected president of the country. He handed over a copy of his proclamation to his mom, former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
The former First Lady then pointed to a pin on her chest saying that she has “two (2) presidents” – referring to her late husband, former dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr., and president-elect Marcos Jr.
