Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Urges Pinoy Voters to Protect their Votes
BONGBONG MARCOS – The former Senator who is running for president in May 2022 Elections is calling on Filipino voters to protect their votes.
The May 2022 Elections are set to take place five days from now. Both local and national elections will be held. Under the latter, there are 10 candidates for president, 9 for vice president, and 63 for senator.
One of the presidential bets is Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer and former Sen. Bongbong Marcos. Undeniably, he has a controversial presidential bid.
The presidential candidacy of Marcos Jr. triggered the issues surrounding Martial Law, their family’s alleged ill-gotten wealth, and his tax evasion cases. Several petitions seeking his disqualification from the presidential race were filed before the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Comelec junked all the petitions against Marcos Jr. Despite all the issues, he remains the frontrunner of the presidential race in the results of the surveys conducted by Pulse Asia.
Five days before the May 2022 Elections, former Sen. Bongbong Marcos is calling on the Filipino voters to guard their votes in the upcoming poll. He stressed that the Filipinos must unite during the election and the voters must protect their decisions.
“Protektahan po natin ang ating naging desisyon at ‘wag po nating hayaang ito’y muling nakawin sa atin,” the former Senator said based on the report.
Former Sen. Marcos expressed that he is asking for two (2) things – one is that, amid the crisis, the Filipinos will face the preparations for a bright future in unity and, two, is that the Filipinos will go out to vote on May 9 even if he is not the presidential candidate that they will vote for.
Marcos Jr. recently got the endorsement of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), a religious group with over two (2) million members. The said endorsement gained different reactions from the public including some INC members but the former Senator and his family are grateful for the said support whom he tagged as an honor that comes along with responsibilities.
