For the sake of the country, Angel Locsin will support BBM and Sara Duterte
ANGEL LOCSIN – The staunch supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo said that she’s going to support president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice-president-elect Sara Duterte “for our country’s sake”.
The actress is considered one of the most popular stars in the country.
She started her showbiz career via GMA-7. She came to prominence for her television roles as Alwina in the 2004 fantasy-themed television series Mulawin and as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the Mars Ravelo eponymous comic.
Eventually, she decided to transfer to ABS-CBN.
She’s also active in expressing her views and opinions about politics.
In fact, during the recent election, she has been busy promoting her presidential bet, Vice President Leni Robredo.
Aside from Angel, also supporting Robredo are some of the well-known celebrities such as Gary Valenciano, Angel Locsin, Andrea Brillantes, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez, Sharon Cuneta, and to name a few.
Apparently, Robredo and other presidential candidates were defeated by presidential frontrunner Bongbong Marcos.
But according to her, she will support BBM and Sara Duterte for the sake of the country.
“For our country’s sake, I’m rooting for our presumptive president, vice president, & senators. I’m hoping they’ll do better than our past leaders,” she said.
“I am a Filipino citizen hoping to be proven wrong. Masasabi ko hong ikakasaya ko ho kung mali kami at tama kayo,” she added.
The camp of BBM and Sara Duterte is yet to issue any statement about the pronouncement of Angel Locsin.
