SARA DUTERTE – The presidential daughter and incumbent Davao City Mayor said that they are “always running scared” amid their survey lead.

A few weeks from now, local and national elections will be held. One of those who are running for vice president is presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Mayor Sara is running under Lakas-CMD. During the period set for the filing of candidacy, she filed her candidacy for re-election as Davao City Mayor. Then, she stressed that she wants to finish her 3rd term as mayor in her hometown.

However, a few days after she filed her COC for mayor, the presidential daughter withdrew her candidacy. She also quit her regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

Mayor Sara Duterte joined the national party Lakas-CMD and ran as its vice-presidential bet. Several big political parties including the PDP-Laban Cusi wing pledged to support her bid.

The Davao City Mayor is leading the latest vice-presidential election survey. She has 53% according to the latest Pulse Asia survey.

Despite the lead, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said that she is not confident about winning the upcoming vice-presidential election. Based on a report on Inquirer, she stressed that they are “always running scared” and it must be their mindset.

The Davao City Mayor stressed that there is no certainty of winning until after the proclamation. According to her, the UniTeam will continue conducting political rallies in the different parts of the country.

Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has started campaigning for Mayor Inday. He recently stressed that he remains neutral in the upcoming election and wants to give Filipinos an honest and fair election. According to him, he will only vote for his daughter whom he described as “very hardworking” and can be very strict but knows how to talk to people and serve in an orderly manner.
