Bayad Buwis Movement formed by Rez Cortez, Vivian Velez and other artists

BBM – Vivian Velez, Rez Cortez and other artists successfully formed the Bayad Buwis Movement on March 31.

During their gathering held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle which was attended by more than 3,000 people, they discussed the P203-B tax debt of the Marcos family.

Velez said their group is colorless and they just want the Marcoses to pay their taxes.

“Buwis bayaran! Buwis bayaran!” the group said.

According to Velez, they don’t like what Marcos did because, unlike them (artists), they are paying the right taxes.

“Kaming mga artista nagbabayad din ng tamang buwis, tulad din ng ibang prospesyon. Kaya dapat ‘di manalo ‘yung may utang na P203 billion!” the former actress said.

The Bayad Buwis Movement also encouraged other artists to join their movement. It is expected that more will join in their next gathering.

“Iba naman talaga ang boses ng nasa entertainment industry. Talagang nakakatawag-pansin so sana marami pa tayong makasama sa mga next rally!” Velez said.

Velez and Cortez are staunch supporters of presidential candidate and Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso.

Marcos camp has yet to issue any statement with regards to the newly formed group called Bayad Buwis Movement.

Meanwhile, Bongbong Marcos or BBM runs for president in the coming elections together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

The Marcos family is being criticized for their allegedly 203 billion peso estate tax.
