Here’s Migz Zubiri’s Explanation to Father Jose Maria Zubiri & Bongbong Marcos Jr. Viral Video
MIGZ ZUBIRI – Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri explained the viral video of his father Jose Maria Zubiri and Bongbong Marcos Jr.
A video showing presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. together with Bukidnon Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri on stage caught the attention of the netizens. In the video, the older Zubiri appears as if about to raise BBM’s hand but the latter who is chanting along with the crowd apparently doesn’t seem to notice it.
BBM’s avoidance appeared to be intentional as he moved his hand away twice when the governor tried to hold it. Several netizens may have misread the situation or intentionally chose to make their disagreeable conclusions. Some of them even started sharing videos with the captions that the presidential aspirant is heartless for humiliating the governor before the live audience.
Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri’s son Senator Migz Zubiri recently issued a statement clarifying the video that was caught at the Uniteam rally in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon last Wednesday. On his official FB page, Sen. Zubiri explained that the incident was due to “a simple miscommunication.”

After the incident, Bongbong Marcos eventually raised hands with the Zubiris during the stopover. That portion was not seen in the viral video. He also stressed that they should focus on the people who attended the UniTeam rally instead of making the video an issue.
The Zubiri Bukidnon Paglaum Party sponsored BBM’s campaign rally in the province. Apart from their group, the other party led by Bukidnon 4th district congressman Oneil Roque also supports Bongbong’s run.
