Mayor Sara Duterte Speaks on Pres. Duterte’s Endorsement of her Candidacy for Vice President
MAYOR SARA DUTERTE – The presidential daughter and incumbent Davao City Mayor spoke about President Rodrigo Roa Duterte‘s endorsement of her vice-presidential bid.
Running under Lakas-CMD, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is one of the vice-presidential candidates in the Elections 2022. She gained the support of several big national parties and local government officials in the different cities and provinces across the nation.
Prior to running for vice president in the upcoming election, the presidential daughter filed her candidacy for re-election as Davao City mayor. Amid calls for her to take on a national race, she stressed that she wants to finish her 3rd term as mayor in her hometown.
A few days after Mayor Inday Sara filed her candidacy for re-election as Davao City Mayor, she withdrew it and ran for vice president. According to her, it is a way for her to meet the calls of her supporters halfway.
The PDP-Laban Cusi faction wherein Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is one of the national parties that adopted and pledged support for the vice-presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
The 77-year-old President who previously said that he has started packing and is excited to be the outgoing president has begun endorsing the bets of their parties. He also spoke about his daughter.
According to Pres. Duterte, Mayor Sara Duterte is very good and very hard working. Based on a report on Inquirer, he stressed that she can be very strict but she knows how to talk to the people and to serve the people “in an orderly manner”.
Mayor Sara Duterte reacted to the President’s endorsement of her VP bid. According to the report, in a chance interview in Pandi, Bulacan, she expressed her gratitude for her father’s endorsement.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa endorsement ni Pangulong Duterte sa aking kandidatura as vice president,” the presidential daughter said.
