Mayor Isko Moreno Calls Vice Pres. Leni Robredo To Withdraw from Presidential Race – “Be a hero”
LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President took to social media a statement after Manila Mayor Isko Moreno called for her to withdraw from the presidential race.
Currently, the social media is stormed by the reactions of the people to the press conference held at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City yesterday, Sunday, April 17, 2022. The said presscon was attended by three (3) presidential candidates for the upcoming 2022 Elections – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Ping Lacson, and former defense secretary Norberto Gonzales.
During the press con, Mayor Isko Moreno called for Vice Pres. Leni Robredo to withdraw from the presidential race. The Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer even told the Vice President that what she is doing against former Senator Bongbong Marcos is allegedly not effective.
Moreno also expressed their thought that Robredo might be the blockage in the pipe. Gonzales expressed his belief that the candidate that can challenge the possible winning of Marcos Jr. better may come from the 3rd, 4th, or 5th placers in the survey and not the 2nd place – which is the Vice President.
Only Marcos Jr. and Robredo have double digits in the survey with the latter increasing in the latest result while the front-runner’s digits dropped. The rest of the presidential candidates are trailing behind the Vice President.
Several netizens expressed disappointment over the presscon held by the three (3) presidential candidates. Amid the negative reactions, Sen. Lacson clarified that he is not part of the call for the Vice President to withdraw.

Leni Robredo took to social media a statement expressing her gratitude to everyone who defended her and her request to her supporters to not anymore let their emotions defeat them.
In a Facebook post, the Vice President stressed that there are only 20 days left for the campaign and she is asking her supporters to not throw words of hatred and just focus on the campaign stressing that there is a country that should be fought for.
