Herbert Bautista and Ruffa Gutierrez are supporting different presidential candidates.
Rumored couple Herbert Bautista and Ruffa Gutierrez are supporting different presidential candidates for the 2022 elections.
Herbert and Ruffa appear to have no issue with their differing political stance despite their rumored romance.
The former Quezon City mayor, who is running for senator in the 2022 elections, is part of the senatorial lineup of “UniTeam” — the alliance of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and vice-presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Herbert has been actively campaigning alongside the Bongbong-Sara tandem, clad in their campaign colors of red and green.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Herbert’s bid to woo voters appeared to be Ruffa’s cue to finally confirm their romance mid-March, when she referred to Herbert as “#8 sa balota, #1 sa puso ko!” Notably, Ruffa made no mention of Herbert’s broader political ties.

Ruffa made public her own presidential bet last Monday as she shared a photo of her with Senator Manny Pacquiao.
The said photo, taken during Pacquiao’s campaign stop in Iloilo City last March 31, also includes Pacquiao’s wife Jinkee and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto. Ruffa used the hashtags #MPforPresident2022 and #TeamPacquiao in a clear endorsement of the senator’s bid for the presidency in the 2022 elections.
In spite of their differing preference for the president, Ruffa has been vocal of her support for Herbert — to the extent of drawing intrigue with her cryptic statements.
Notably, last March 24, Ruffa reminded her followers to “be kind to your ex”, a day after actress-host Kris Aquino warned voters not to vote for her “ex” as she accused him of not fulfilling his promises.

Herbert responded over a week later, similarly alluding only to an “ex” by wishing her good health. Kris has been battling autoimmune conditions for the past 4 years.
